Glasgow Harbour Development
Does anyone know much about the progress of the proposed Glasgow Harbour development? glasgowharbour.com
I'm assuming this is the reason and means by which the Govan cycle/ped bridge will be built.

Not quite - I wondered too but only date I could find before was a consultation in March 2015. It was the Govan Partick 'Charrette' (posh go-cart?). See: www.govanpartick.com
However, I've since found this BBC News article saying bridge contract was awarded to CH2M Hill (of
Alexandrasorry, City Park, Alexandra Parade). So would someone who organised an event there know a wee bit more?
@un Look at the width of those roads... must be 6 lanes wide! And a sea of parking. What a waste.
Here's more pictures of the development.
From a strategic network point of view, this is quite an important development. The Strava data shows that the Clyde route is a very popular route. The development (in green) has potential new links (in yellow). I did add another link (in orange) that would also be useful.
The visualisations don't show any cycling, just walking. I can see great potential for conflict, but I feel minor changes to the riverside path could be done to make a big difference.
